Great care is being taken to provide top quality and meet the tolerance requirements specified by the clients for the individual components processed by RIVAL.
“We prepare a quality plan for each of the components our oil and gas customers ask us to process,” says Managing Director Henrik Holvad from RIVAL. ”It’s a detailed plan that contains a description of the exact processes and measuring methods used.”
All processes are controlled, and data is recorded in measurement reports. If errors occur during processing, our employees can quickly step in and make the necessary adjustments.
RIVAL documents the quality of the components, and to the customers this represents a guarantee that the components comply with the specified quality requirements. Documented quality control typically saves customers a lot of money in their own quality control departments and makes it possible to supply critical and costly components directly from RIVAL to the customers’ offshore destinations.
Zeiss 3D measuring machine RIVAL has just invested in a new Zeiss 3D measuring machine as part of the company’s efforts to become one of the top suppliers of documented quality components to the most professional and quality-conscious companies.

“The process control we can carry out and document to the customer is essential for our collaboration, because the requirements to precision are so strict. It must be possible to replace a damaged process component with a spare part without any adjustment whatsoever – even on remote oil rigs anywhere in the world,” says Mr Holvad.
RIVAL has several customers who have asked for the specific forms of control that can be carried out with this measuring machine. RIVAL is also experiencing that the ‘rumour’ that they can offer this ultra-modern and highly effective form of process control has resulted in many fresh enquiries from both existing and new customers.
