RIVAL’s adjustable calibrating sleeves improve the bottom line

No scrap. No dependence on specific raw material suppliers. Happier employees. Greater efficiency. Australia’s PPI Corp has successfully used RIVAL’s adjustable calibrating sleeves, and the company expects to equip all four of its plants with the entire range.

The distance between Brisbane on the eastern tip of Australia and Denmark is 15,583 kilometres. Even so, pipe manufacturer PPI has actually managed to send an order for a spare part on a Friday afternoon receive the part on the following Moday!

The third largest Australian pipe manufacturer has been using the adjustable calibrating sleeves made by RIVAL in its production since 2002. The plant in Brisbane has 25 adjustable calibrating sleeves that cover the entire range from 25 mm to 800 mm. The company expects to replace all its fixed calibrating sleeves with adjustable RIVAL calibrating sleeves in the future, and it has just placed an order for a complete set of 12 additional adjustable calibrating sleeves.

The mere fact that we generate less scrap means that the payback time for RIVAL calibrating sleeves is shorter,” explains Nicholas Feros, General Manager of Manufacturing at PPI. The company was the first of the Australian pipe manufacturers to discover and use RIVAL’s adjustable calibrating sleeves across their complete range of pipes produced.
