ADJUSTABLE CALIBRATION OF PIPES 

The RIVAL® adjustable calibrating sleeve is the only product in the world capable of adjustable calibration of extruded plastic pipes.

Using the RIVAL® adjustable calibrating sleeve, the pipe manufacturer can produce pipes in three to five pressure classes using the same sleeve.

The RIVAL® adjustable calibrating sleeve can be operated either manually or by an electric motor. Values are displayed to an accuracy of 0.01 mm, and the set diameter is easily read.

The principle - World patented
The figure shows the patented, simple, sturdy design and illustrates how the diameter can be changed during operation without compromising the requirements of the pipe manufacturer in terms of pipe roundness, surface and tolerance.

As such, the principle ensures stable, accurate circular calibration along the entire calibrating sleeve.

Motor adjustment
The pipe diameter requested is easy to adjust with the motor.
The RIVAL® adjustable calibrating sleeve is made as standard with motor.

The design of the RIVAL® adjustable calibrating sleeve also enables it to be mounted with a servomotor so that a control loop is made between the scanner and calibration.

Several of our partners have practical experience with solutions of a similar nature.

Wear
The principle of the RIVAL® adjustable calibrating sleeve means that the functionality of the product is not affected by normal wear.

Storage box
The RIVAL® adjustable calibrating sleeve is supplied in a special-made storage box for safe and solid storage.

It is supplied with a manual in the appropriate language as well as a handling equipment kit to ensure correct assembly on the RIVAL® adjustable calibrating sleeve without any damage.

Enhanced cooling
High speed requires superior cooling

Since the RIVAL® calibrating sleeve is adjustable, you can typically optimise your production line, making possible a higher production speed.

At higher speed special care is needed to see that the pipe is cooled even more efficiently – right from the cooling box inlet.

It is therefore important that the outermost nozzles are located so that they cool the foremost end of the calibrating sleeve efficiently.

Expensive special tool
The RIVAL® adjustable calibrated sleeve is an expensive special tool and should be treated as such.

During installation please take care that the weight of the RIVAL® adjustable calibrating sleeve does not rest on the wedges, since this will damage them. You should also ensure that the front plate of the cooling box is not out of true prior to installation.

Use only cooling water of a pH value between 6 and 8.
